Whew......all worn out now (lol) the end of the month snuck up on me and I had to quick finish 3 scrap pages in 1 day.....that's what I get for procrastinating (the story of my life !)
Not too much going on around here, winter sucks as always ! I heard "My" Cardinal on friday though which means they are back from where ever it is they go for most of the winter. It means that Spring will be here soon when they come "home" ;-))

Was in the hospital again the first week of July,
hubby had taken the week off for vacation too so
he could do stuff with the grandkids, I don't know
why it seems like I always get sick around special
occasions !
It was pretty scary this time too, the bi-pap wasn't
working for my breathing so they put a breathing tube
in......then they knock you out, had alot of dreams.
Kept dreaming that I had woke up and was back home
then would come around alittle and was still in the
hospital ;-(
Luckily they got me off of that after a couple days,
not sure how many though - I think 2 or 3.
Feeling pretty good now, hopefully will be awhile
before I end up there again ;-))

Sure wish Spring would hurry.....I guess it is here since it's staying in at least the 40's - 50's here most days and of course raining (blah) But that's not the Spring I am looking for .....lol.
I want the kind of light sweater weather, the sunny & warm days when you can plant things......guess it'll get here but I'm about out of patience ! lol ;-))

Why is winter so endless ? lol, this time of year is the worst too, because you just know that Spring is coming but you can't see it yet. I have been feeling alittle under the weather lately, mostly just tired. Was out and about today though.
Joanne, your walker sounds just like mine ! Mine is metalic blue, my daughters told me they were going to get me a horn and streamers but they haven't yet !

Sometimes I wonder if I am just talking to myself, I suppose if I had something to give away someone would stop by now and then.......or if I posted more often !
Such a boring life....lol

Actually something great did happen this week, in spite of my daughters predictions (family joke) Not only did DH remember my Birthday (on the Right day!) but he brought me home a card and a CAKE ! And not just a cake either, a Cheesecake !!!
I feel really special - lol ;-))

Guess I'm not too good at blogging...seems like I never get back here to chat, well anyway....Today is an extra quiet one for Nana day as hubby took the 2 sons & all 3 grandkids to Wildwood (NJ) to the beach & boardwalk so I got to be here alone all day ! That's practically unheard of around here ;-))

I actually *could have* went with them since they ended up taking my van so there was room but I know I would get way too worn out even if I took my walker so decided not to. Hubby is taking pictures for me to see the fun at least. I will be sure and share the best ones here also.

My Mom finally had her needle biopsy at the end of the week so now in a couple of days we will know what kind of cancer they are dealing with, if it is indeed cancer that is. I say finally because it seemed like the Drs were all dragging this out for so long with this test and that test, then Drs on vacation, crap like that. It's been driving us all crazy ! The biopsy went very well and Mom sounded really good when I talked to her earlier today. Hubby will stop to see her & his Mom too on his way home this evening.

I don't believe how quick the day has gone by either ! Good heavens, seemed like no time at all and it was 4 p.m. already and now it's 5+......dang, they say time flies when you're having fun !

Health wise things are going pretty much okay, the heat we had was about murder though. My legs have been really swelled up but today they seem a bit better. The weather is fabulous today, 74* (F) I am freezing....lol

Still trying to get my scrap folders in some kind of order and get some pages done also. I make birthday greetings for a site and I may start adding them here for others to share, they're good to email to folks or to post on a webpage. They are optimized for the web and none are larger than 100 KB so easly to email also.

I ended up in the hospital from Monday July 9th till Monday the 16th with breathing problems again.
The bottom line is I won't ever really be 100% again as I have COPD and have for a few years now, I need to become totally smoke free though and quit entirely instead of going back and forth these past months, I am supposed to use oxygen sitting around here and a small tank when I am out.
The problem I had this last time was I got sick with a head cold and my nose was so bad I really couldn't use the oxygen and so it caused a build up of carbon dioxide and that makes me go to sleep and.............let's just say I scared the s**t out of hubby, as in they practically dragged me to the car and off to the ER where they proceeded to put me on the "bi-pap" oxygen mask which is this pressure thing that makes you feel like you are suffocating.........at least that's what I was telling them I was NOT a happy camper waking up at some point monday night and trying to scratch my nose only to find my hands tied down !!!! Had to promise to be a good girl the next day........lol, anyway.........sucks getting old.

When I am in better condition I am allowed to sit around my house without the oxygen but have to wear it at night. This time when I came home they also got me a walker (rolling eyes) lol....... sorry to say I need something to lean on when I walk any length, the walker will help with my breathing plus I get back pain something fierce and it is for that also. My daughters said they are going to get streamers for the "handle bars" and a truck horn to get people out of my way......LOL !

Anyway, that is where I stand right now with things, I have swelling I get in my legs for the past 5 years that they still don't know what causes it (!) although my new Dr (who I just love) is going to run some more tests after I see him at the end of the month. I had a really severe case of cellulitis 3 years ago caused by that so my legs look like I was burned (knees to ankles, both legs) but I guess that is God's way of keeping me from being too vain.....lol. The swelling has been down since I was in the hospital though so hopefully things are getting better there.
I think I must have lost some weight when I was there too (a good thing !)
Have cut down my coffee and salt also and I think that helps alot.

So that is where it all stands, now you know what to pray for if you care to, sure can use all I can get ;-))

Been Busy........

I've been going through my digital scrap folder and trying to organize it and delete some stuff that I know I'll never use, lol......it's tough being ruthless but I had 29GB(!) in there ! OMG ! I am a terrible packrat, even on my computer !
I've had a nasty head cold for the past week so really didn't get to enjoy my mini vacation, the dry cleaner closes for a week every July so my 2 oldest kids don't work that week. That means I didn't have to take the grandkids to daycare every morning, plus my son went to SD to see his friend so that's one less person to deal with also. On top of that hubby has been working lot's of overtime so more quiet there too.....lol ;-))

We had lot's of sun then a thunderstorm then more sun (and very hot !) then more thunderstorms so now the cucumbers, grape tomatoes and watermelons are all coming up good, you can see a difference from one day to the next, pretty amazing !
The other tomatoes are getting ever more baby's on them & more flowers too. My gardening "style" is to plant it and watch it grow, if it doesn't then I don't plant that again.....lol, can't stand anything that has to be fussy. I think we'll have plenty tomatoes, cukes & watermelon though ;-))

Great News

My Mom had all her tests come back good - the cancer hasn't spread to anywhere else, so now she will see the surgeon to get that small spot taken out of her lung and God willing make a full recovery. I'll update as this progresses but we are much more optimistic knowing this ;-))

lol, feels like it anyway ! Grandson Xavier had minor surgery on his nose today so he won't keep having nosebleeds, that went well. My daughter called when they were on their way home and said he is doing fine (whew !) Nervous Nana here....didn't like the idea of him being under sedation you know. Anyway.....been super busy at the AdminsFamily site plus trying to get some scrapping done, sure wish there were longer days sometimes !

My son Paul & I were working in the yard earlier today, it's nice and cool today rather than very hot like it has been. We had to water the tomatoes I planted last week and I had him digging up a plot so Grandson Xavier and I can plant some seeds Friday since school is out then and he will be here all day.
Well, Paul had dug up this huge weed (will have to post a picture of it !) then he mowed next to the (neighbors) fence, he bumped it and this piece of wood fell off the top, for the hundreth time so he chucked it over in the guys yard. Well here comes Mr Neighbor, who I haven't heard say 5 words in 2 years I have lived here (!) yelling about take it easy on the fence ! He's going to be taking it down to fix it (he said) at the end of the month, well.....hmmm, you know - even if he can't afford to fix it until the end of the month it doesn't cost anything to tear it down. The darn thing has been falling down for the better part of a year, and last winter ended up flat in my yard during a storm, he's got it held up with a spike in the ground with twine (no I am not joking !) I won't make fun but the guy isn't "right" if you know what I mean, he & his sister live there and they don't talk to anybody, I must say I was surprised he did that ......must be dumber than I thought because in THIS neighborhood I sure as heck wouldn't be jumping in somebodys face that I didn't know ! Jeez......

Anyway.....This is just a little something I made with freebie word art and a mask, you may snag a copy if you want it is bigger than shown ;-))

It's been busy.......

So many things going on in my life right now, I haven't really had much time to scrap anything ;-( The MyFamily sites that I Admin have been busy as we are having a "Summer Fair" and on top of all that I was sick with another lung infection, which hopefully is done now. I have COPD and the pollen gets to me also so I was coughing alot, the pain was awful ! The pills they give you handle it but make you fall asleep, so that doesn't help get much done ! Anyway, I am feeling a bit better now but may still end up with another round of antibiotics before I am thru this.
On top of everything else in my own life, my Mom has a spot on her lung and is having tests and all that. They are pretty sure it is cancer but it is really small so they are hoping to get it with surgery, just waiting on all the tests first then they will set a date for that. We are trying to stay hopeful. She is in pretty good health besides that and she is staying upbeat. I will try to keep this updated as best I can in the coming months and eventually build this into a nice little blog...lol Be patient with me ;-))
